BON VOYAGE: Farewell party 2009 IIIT-Allahabad
The much awaited farewell party of the MBA (IT) 2007-09 batch was organized by the 2008 batch at Hotel Milan on 16 April 2009. Though farewells are an expression of love, sorrow as well as a new beginning, this event too was a complete blend of emotions.
Changing the previous trends of typical farewells, wherein Mr. and Ms. Farewell are normally given after a series of events, the students came up with interesting titles like Mr. Tarzan and Ms. Jane. Mr.Sameer was Mr.Tarzan and Ms. Saloni Jindal was Ms.Jane. There were a series of stand ups done by the seniors in the form of 30 sec games. The juniors trapped them well into a hilarious round of activities. The students had also, innovatively paired up their seniors in interesting JODIS. They were then asked to perform certain tasks like dance, lip sync and so on. The senior girls looked stunning in colorful sarees. A round of catwalk won Ms. Roli Agarwal a prize for the best walk. The Divisional head of MBA Dr. Anurika Vaish and all faculty members graced the occasion by their presence. They blessed the outgoing batch and wished them luck. The event became a little emotional by a poem dedicated to the seniors from the junior batch. As a token of love and appreciation the 2007 batch was handed a memento in the form of beautiful plates with the names of all faculty members imprinted on it and a collage of their snaps. The event was definitely a memorable one for all present. We wish the outgoing batch success and a bright future ahead.
