Sixth IEEE conference on Wireless Conference for Sensor Network

This conference was held just after the very famous Science Conclave of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. This was specially for the Masters in Technology students who had their specialization in Wireless Networking. Such conferences do make rounds every year in our college and it’s a matter of great pride in organizing such events for the students.

The pre-conference workshop and conference was held for three days where subjects such as WSN application, development and challenges ; introduction to LTE, features, frame structure, multiplexing and channel coding; Tiny OS , and various other lectures were taken up by the Lecturers. The Lecturers include some from our own institute and some from other institutes as well. To name a few there were lecturers like Prof. Shishu Verma, Prof. Poonam Yadav, Prof. Tiruvengadam, Prof. D.P. Agarwal, Prof. Anish Arora, Prof. Raju, Prof. Janet Light and many more.

This IEEE conference enlightened the students regarding the present and future challenges which wireless networking has to face. From the times ago we have seen that the wireless networking is considered to be one of the most efficient alternative of the cable networking, but security issues has always been a problem. The future challenges deals with the security of the wireless networking and means by which we this problem can be tackled and security could be made more reliable.

After the conference was finished, all the faculties had to submit their respective research papers for further consideration. Later on, a cultural activity was organized. This activity marked the commencement of the sixth IEEE conference on Wireless Conference for Sensor Network. This activity was beautified by the folk Manipuri dance, it was a pleasure to see their performance.
