As this day has always been marked as a very important day in our Indian history, and since the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, has its own unique way to celebrate this great day, this year too we marked the celebration of our 62nd Republic Day with great enthusiasm and passion. But this time, various clubs of our college had something else in store to celebrate this event. As we know that this year with the introduction of new members in the various clubs, this was their first chance to perform in front of the college after being elected. They left no stone unturned and made this celebration a great journey for all of us.
The day started with a speech by our Honorable Director Sir, Dr. M. D. Tiwari Sir, who once again encouraged the achievements of our country and urged all of us to take this country to new heights and bring laurels to the institute. His speech ended on a note that ours is the time to show our efficiency to the fullest and we should use it to take our nation to the utmost position.
After his encouraging speech, the Music club of our college once again showed their talent and delighted us with their beautiful voices and remarkable music. The whole sky was echoing in the tunes of "Maa Tujhe Salam!"Certainly, the song fills our heart with immense sense of patriotism.
And then, the moment for which all our sport lovers were waiting for. Various competitions for our young athletes were held and Marathon, Sprint (men and women), spoon racing, etc were held. The winners were kept in the record and they would be awarded during the foundation day this year.
This Republic Day gives us immense pleasure every year. May this day bring loads of Prosperity and Unity for all our Indians. Jai Hind.
