It has been few days only those new club bearers were appointed. SARASVA, the Literary club was the club to organize the first event "SHAURYA" which was the Republic week celebration. The event was inaugurated on 25th January with “ABHIVYAKTI” which was the article writing competition. Anurag Ranjan from B.Tech 3rd year won the 1st prize, Khyati from B.Tech 2nd year won the 2nd prize and Tatsat Mishra from B.Tech 2nd year won the 3rd prize. The award for the most creative writer was won by Arnima Srivastava who is MBA 1st year student.
Another event of SHAURYA was UPROAR, Group Discussion which was scheduled on 28 January. The topic of the Group Discussion was British invasion: boon or bane. The award for Speaker with best content was won by Mohit Khare and the award for Most active speaker was won by Dhiresh.
MANTHAN was the most successful event of the SHAURYA. It was the parliamentary debate. A team of three members was allowed to participate in which one member was Prime Minister, the second one was Deputy Prime Minister and the third one was the Whip. 8 teams were shortlisted for the event from which 4 teams were shortlisted for semifinals. After semifinals two teams EXTREMES and ACCRUED were reached to final. The finale of MANTHAN was on 30th January and the venue was Auditorium. Team ACCRUED from B.Tech 1st year was the winner and Team EXTREMES from MBA 1st year was the 1st runner up. The award for the best speaker was awarded to Vikas Lamba who is a student of MBA 1st year.
SHAURYA which has become the 1st event of the year 2011 was successfully effort to celebrate the 62th Republic Day.
