From the Editors' Desk

Since our birth we all are guided and helped by our elders, and so we were very well supported by our respected seniors. They helped us learn and always acted like a mentor to us. But time passes away and life has to go on, we juniors have to grow up and seniors have to depart. They left us with lot of memories and the new session began. We dedicate the first issue of this session to our seniors for their kind efforts and co-operation.
First and foremost, we would like to thank our divisional head, Dr. Anurika Vaish for her continuous guidance and support. The session began with the welcome of juniors and the b’cognizance is ready with the new team, new zeal and new life. This issue has the glimpse of the Foundation Day along with the Independence Day celebration. The issue contains the debatable article on the need of new banks by our esteemed faculty member and also some articles on philosophy and the importance of cyber law and cyber-crime in this e-world.
The authors have put their heart out by writing the articles for all the sections and we appreciate the endless efforts made by the juniors for bringing up this issue in full co-operation with us. We look ahead for your suggestions regarding the magazine features and layout, which has been modified to a great extent by the technical team. We have tried our best to improve upon the previous versions and include all the recommendations by the readers, but still if you find anything which can be improved upon, feel free to write us at: bcognizance@iiita.ac.in.
Last but not the least, our sincere thanks to the magazine chief coordinator, Dr. Pratika Mishra for her enlightening support and assistance. She possesses excellent ability to simplify complicated situations in a subtle and rational manner.
