As we all know that our IIIT is famous for the overall development of its precious students and gives them a rigorous training from the very beginning in order to convert them into a highly honorable, prestigious, precious and proud gem of the society. Here is another successful journey of this very training which includes the performances of our new talents in the market. Once again our young, enthusiastic and energetic IIITians have shown that nothing in this world, neither the bad weather, the viral fever or the limited resources could hinder our performances or lower our quality of talents. Once again the 12th foundation day of our college, which marks the day when the first foundation stone of this college was laid, has been a huge success and the whole credit goes to the energetic contributions made by Program management and the Publicity club for their “NEVER SAY DIE” attitude.

This foundation day is the best day for honoring the members for their hearty co-operation which they had shown throughout the year (that includes the President, Secretary and the Treasurer along with the members); various competitors for their highly acclaimed performances (that includes sports, T-Shirt designing, Marathon etc); the best academicals achievers who get Scholarships in the form of cash prizes for excelling in their respective fields (which includes all the departments), and this year too, the foundation day brought encouragement , appreciation and motivation for those achievers who brought laurels to the college.
But before talking about the prize distribution, let me take you to a joy ride by highlighting the events that took place. First of all there was a welcome note addressed to honorable director sir, Dr. M. D. Tiwari sir,  Guest of honor, Mr. Freek Jan Frerichs (Science & Technology Counselor of the Dutch Embassy in Delhi) and Marjolein van Griethuysen MSc (Director International affairs & innovation, Erasmus University Rotterdam - Netherland) , the respective faculty and the audience by our anchors Kumar Shubham and Shrishti. Then we started off with the function by seeking the blessings of Maa Saraswati with a group of first year girls delighting us with their melodious prayers. And then there was a series of highly electrified events starting from Vandana as dance, choir, drama (by MBA), kavi darbar, duet song, duet dance, solo song, drama, standup comedy(english), solo dance, hasya kavita and finally group dance. Out of which the prize winners were group dance, mile sur mera tumhara (first prize), duet dance, a combination of classical and western dance,(second prize), and standup comedy (third prize).

Now lets take you to the moment for which everyone present in the foundation day is desperately waiting, the Prize Distribution Ceremony. All the people present in the function eagerly waits for this very ceremony either to get the prize which they deserved and feel the pride in them, or to support their friends who are winning an award and be a source of applaud for them. The prizes were distributed to the Program management and publicity club, Dramatics Club, Sport Club, Music Club, Literary Club, Audio and Lights Club, Dance Club, INDEM, Effervescence IX and 2nd Science Conclave Website Development Team, by our Honorable Director Sir.  Prizes for the Sports Events such as Badminton (singles), Badminton (doubles), Volleyball B2k7, Table Tennis, 200 m Sprint, Marathon 15th August 2009, and Relay were given by our Honorable Chief Guest , Mr. Freek Jan Frerichs. Last but not the least, the biggest honor of all, the Merit Scholarships worth 18000 Rupees were distributed to the students who excelled in the fields of B Tech—IT, B Tech—ECE, MBA—IT, and MSCLIS were given by our respective Chief Guest Marjolein van Griethuysen MSc.
