Talk on CRM

Prof. A.P Arora, Professor at MDI, Gurgaon delivered a talk on CRM  on 2nd February. He spoke on the importance of CRM in today's business environment and its growing impact in marketing decisions.

Sad Demise

The institute was wrapped in a cloud of grief on the sad demise of Ms. Megha Goel, a student of B.Tech (EC) Fourth Semester on 2nd February.She was ill and under treatment. A condolence meeting and candle light ceremony was organized to pray to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul.

SPICMACAY and IIITA Program

To promote the Indian Classical Music & Culture in Indian Youth, SPICMACAY and IIITA  presented  a  program on 3 February in which Artist  Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt - A Mohan Veena Exponent was invited. The audience was mesmerized by his expertise in Mohan Veena.

Saraswati Puja held at IIITA

On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi,Saraswati Puja was organized  at the Institute’s Guest House. Staff members with their families and students marked this puja with their presence.

National Science Day Celebrations

National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the famous Raman Effect. Science talk on "The Life Information” by Dr. Pavan Chakraborty was made.

Dance party

Ushma: the Dance Club successfully organized this year’s first event the Dance Party on 2^nd March. The students had a break from the daily schedule and enjoyed the event. Prizes for best dressed female, best dressed male and paper dance were announced.

Visit and lecture by Mr. Sumeet Rajawade, Technical, Director, Rediff.com

Mr. Sumeet Rajawade, Technical, Director, Rediff.com, Mumbai visited IIITA on 8th March 2008 to explore the possibility of R&D Collaboration with IIITA. He also delivered a lecture in this regard.

International/National/Summer Schools/Workshops (March 2008-July 2008)

Two days Summer School Program on Information Security was organized on 29^th and 30^th March. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was   the Chairman cum Managing Director of Sysman Pvt Ltd. The workshop is designed to make the up coming graduate understand the area of information security along with the necessary information for them to make their career in the field. Workshops on Development in Robotics & Embedded System, Management of R & D Projects, and International Workshop on Next Generation Wireless Networks will be conducted in the coming months.

Guest Lecture by Professor M.Akbar from IIM-L.

Prof. M. Akbar, Professor in Strategic Management from IIM-Lucknow delivered a talk on "Creating Value through Collaborations" on 30th March.

First Inter batch debate

The Literary Club organized the first Inter Batch Debate on 6th April. 5 Teams   from various batches participated. The judge for the event was Dr. Shekhar Verma, a faculty member of IIITA. The topic for the same was: “Has Feminism done more harm than good to the Indian Society?”

Antakshari Exclusively For Students

After the successful commencement of Antakshari for faculty members it was time the students geared up to strike a chord. The students pulled their selves from the monotonic schedule and enthusiastically participated in the event.
