F4W 4GEN & Tactica Technology

Animesh Agrawal

Course: M.Tech WCC, IIIT A

F4W develops fourth generation wireless ad hoc and peer-to-peer networking applications and Tactical Communication Products.

4GEN Technologies is a development platform for new products and devices based on Mesh Networks Enabled Architecture (MEA) in the areas of wireless video streaming, embedded device authentication and security, image and video compression, protocols for differential throughput service, integrated wireless backhaul and routers specially designed for vertical industry applications.

The innovative MEA mobile broadband solution is a patented ad hoc peer-to-peer routing technology combined with a high-performance QDMA radio. This peer-to-peer technology has been further enhanced by enabling every device in the network to act as a router and repeater for all other devices in the network. This means that clients can “hop” through neighboring devices or Wireless Routers to communicate with each other and reach network access points. This Multi-Hopping capability creates a robust, interconnected network that automatically routes around congestion and line-of-sight obstacles, while improving throughput as subscriber density increases.

Tactica Technologies are proprietary, encrypted software tools designed to enable secure and easy collaboration over wireless networks. Tactica's revolutionary design enables it to function in the presence or absence of a server, providing the freedom and flexibility to share ideas, solutions, and challenges in virtually any environment. Tactica technology enables F4W TWEB and 4GEN solution ad hoc networks to be able to be deployed and used with no pre-engineering and minimal training.

MEA (Mesh Networks Enabled Architecture)

F4W has licensed Motorola's Mesh Networks Enabled Architecture (MEA) for use in its TWEB and 4GEN Solutions Networks. MEA is the first flexible and scalable wireless network that can maximize performance and bandwidth efficiency for wireless applications. It's self-forming, self-healing, and self-balancing routing allows wireless devices to become the network. F4W's mobile broadband network offers a towerless, seamless, and flexible high-bandwidth wireless solution.

VSAT & TWEB

VSAT technology is a secure and reliable medium to connect geographically dispersed locations. In a situation where other connectivity options are not feasible, VSAT offers two distinct advantages: less deployment time and easy manageability.

TWEB VSAT delivers an “Auto Deploy” service via a compact, flexible, and user-friendly transportable equipment option to its Primary Access Service, a powerful broadband access solution. TWEB VSAT was designed for organizations that need reliable and transportable primary broadband network access within minutes.

4GEN Wireless Solutions

4GEN Solutions are ad hoc networks created for specific vertical industries to provide customers networks that deliver what they need…when they need it…at any speed. These cost effective solutions are easy to deploy and maintain with rapid return on the customer's investment.

4GEN solutions are developed around the innovative MEA mobile broadband platform from Motorola. MEA is a patented ad hoc peer-to-peer routing technology combined with a high-performance QDMA radio. This peer-to-peer technology has been further enhanced by enabling every device in the network to act as a router and repeater for all other devices in the network.
