Climate Change and Its effect on the Earth and the civilization is one of the major concerns of the entire nation around the globe. To take some decisive measures is on the upcoming problem is needed. United Nation Climate Change Conference was the step towards this journey that will decide future of human survival. The Conference was held at Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, between 7 to 18 December.

The conference was step forward after Climate Change: Global Risk, Challenges and Decisions scientific conference, which was held in March 2009 at Bella Center. Connie Hedegaard was president of the conference followed by Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen for the final negotiations between council and member nation for agreements.

Major issue which was focus of Conference, the accord which will commit nations for reduction of carbon emission and providing help and support to poor nations in developing clean energy and combating with climate change effects. Rich countries will finance $ 10 billion per year for three-year scheme to fund projects. The target was to increase amount to $100 billion a year by 2020 for developments and projects. The developed and developing nations showed their concern but failure in creating legal binding disappointed the scientists as well as activists who were looking forward to some regulation on carbon emission. Principle accord recognised that countries should work together to keep the global temperature from rising more than 2 degree Celsius  the level pertaining before the industrial revolution. Industrial development is major cause of increase in level of carbon emission. Rapid development of countries like China, India and other south Asian countries added stiff increase in emission; at the same time, developed countries like America do not want to cut down its emission up to expected levels of scientific communities.

So with half-hearted efforts, half than expected results, developed and developing countries are busy in their race of power and developments, still we can hope than concern without legal binding in form of agreements, would give positive results. However, without a big Technological breakthrough in energy creation and effective energy usage legal binding and other norms will not give fruitful results, which will decide destiny of human survival.
