Workshop on E-Operations
(18-19 March 2010)
The area of e-operations encompasses “Managing the internal and external activities, processes, resources, systems & technologies required to design, perform and improve the Operations carried out by the organization.” It also includes Creation, Production, Delivery, and Service of the primary goods/ services provided by an organization through value-adding transformation of a set of inputs into a set of outputs for internal/ external customers.
Objective of this workshop was:
* To educate the user about the potentials of e-operations and its
implications.
* To discuss the various critical aspect of Supply Chain Optimization and
Increasing Efficiencies.
* To develop the skill set desired for e-operations professional across
industry, academia and other sector.
The two day workshop included following programs:
18 March
10:00am.-1:00pm -Guest Talk by V.K.Srivastava, IIM Lucknow, on basics of E-Operations.
2:30 pm-5:30 pm -Introduction to Supply Chain by
19 March
10:00am.-1:00pm -Supply Chain Management and E operations by Prof. Rameshwar Dubey, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.
2:30 pm-5:30 pm-Case Studies Discussion of Dell and Ford by participants of workshop.
The workshop provided enhanced knowledge to all the participants about E-Opearations.
