EDITORIAL

It gives me great pleasure to present before you the new issue of B'cognizance in the New Year 2006. Each year that passes leaves its mark and brings with it hopes and wings to fly even higher in the current one. May I on behalf of my team wish you A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR and may the almighty give you the charisma and will to sail through this New Year with flying colors.

The current issue of B'Cognizance brings in a wide array of articles ranging from Wireless technologies to revisiting the nine planets. Dr Satchidananda Research Director,Centre for Banking & IT,IIIT-Bangalore, highlights the Indian Journey to Basel II. Whereas Dr Ashutosh Saxena, faculty IDRBT-Hyderabad talks about Security and Trust in Electronic Payments. Prof. Nikhil Agarwal, Asstt Professor, SPJIMR, Mumbai, throws light upon People's Issues in Maintaining Legacy Systems. The criticalities of Developing Human Capital and Knowledge are dealt by Dr. Santosh Ragnekar, Asstt Professor, Deptt of management studies, IIT-Roorkee. The issues concerning Customer Relationship Management in Retail are highlighted by Dr Hemant C. Trivedi,Vivek Khandelwal, MICA-Ahmedabad . Dr Arpita Khare , an eminent Faculty member of IIIT-A enlightens the readers on the issues of JIT Supply Chain. Prof. Anurag K. Agarwal of IIM-Ahmedabad talks about Resolving Domain Name Disputes.
