A Display of Creativity beyond the Walls of IIITA
A team of
four titled "Saptrang" ventured into a whole new territory of Ad Film Making
and signaled the entry of IIITA into this domain by getting second position in
a national level Business Fest "GNOSIS'11" held at Chandragupt Institute of
Management, Patna on 20 October, 2011.
The
National Business fest was an endeavor to bring the innovative minds across the
country to a common platform to present the creative aspect of their managerial
and marketing skills on Rural India through wide spectrum of activities like
Business Plan, Ad Making, Business Quiz and Case Analysis Competition. There
were teams from prestigious B Schools like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ranchi, IIFT
Kolkata, XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB Bhubaneswar, LBS Delhi etc. participating in the
event.
The team
"Saptrang" from IIIT A sent its entry into "AURORA"... The Ad Making Competition.
The event was divided into three stages. Stage 1 was Print Ad submission for
advertising Dish-washing Bar to rural masses, 5 teams were shortlisted after
this stage and were invited to the campus on 20th October, 2011. In stage 2,
all the shortlisted teams had to make a video Ad on a vocational training
institute, which provides the basic computer training to rural women and kids
and in the final stage, teams had to perform a skit to advertise a prop which
was given to them on the spot.
More than
25 Teams have participated in the Ad making event and after clearing all the
stages, team "Saptrang" won 2nd prize of Rs 10,000 and certificates.
The members of the team are Abhinav Saxena of MBA 2nd year, Ajeet
Pratap Singh of MBA 2nd year, Ankur Luthra of MBA 2nd
year and Avanish Singh of MBA 2nd year.
