Dictatorship
Dictatorship
- a feeling that makes a man rule over his nation by hook or by crook; a
disastrous rule for the nation that experiences it whether it is that of Adolf
Hitler or Saddam Hussain.
These
rulers ruled their nations for many long years. They promoted whomsoever they
wanted to and killed who ever spoke against them. These things made the common
man get burdened with the feeling of becoming free from the clutches of these
rulers and revolt against them. As a consequence, either these rulers killed
their own selves or they were killed by the people whom they ruled.
Muammar
Ghaddafi, one such dictator ruled the country of
Libya for four decades. His dictatorship came to an end when revolt broke
against him in his country and the people of his country swore to fight against
his rule and free themselves from his clutches. In his lifetime, Ghaddafi killed all those who spoke anything against him or
tried to defy him. What he said was rule and was constitution and what he did
not consent to, despite being correct in the eyes of the people and a humane
attitude invited criminal penalty in the form of brutal murder or grave
punishments that were exemplary to avoid any such voices to be raised in the
future.
Crimes
increased and the dictator's hands were red with blood scattering all around
him. It all happened a few days ago, when Ghaddafi
hid in his own village in Sirte in Libya. He asked
his men to forgive him and not to kill him, but they would not listen to him.
They shot him and ended their days of slavery under a dictator, from whom they
had to seek permission to live or to die...
In my
opinion, when the Creator has given life to us, we are supposed to understand
that the other men in this universe are our brethren who have been created by
the same Overlord. We need to value their lives as much as we value our own
lives. Glorious death for the sake of the nation is much more respectful than
luxurious life led by absorbing the wealth of the nation.
