Have you
ever wondered, What you can do? Where you can go? What you
can achieve?.........in your DREAMS!!!
What if
you are chosen as the youngest prime minister of India??!!!
How amazing would it be? Imagine your first ever address to
the nation. What are you going to say to your countrymen in
your first ever speech? Well as far my thoughts
go.............read on..................
Good
afternoon to all my countrymen!!!
First of
all I would like to thank all you for showing faith in me.
I’m really overwhelmed by the affection and the regard shown
to me by so many people across the length and breadth of the
country. I stand here today as India's youngest prime
minister, humbled by this experience. It will be my sincere
endeavour to live up to the expectations of all those who
have elected me and I’m fully aware of the greatness of the
responsibility which has been placed on my shoulders.
From
expanding opportunities to protecting our country we have
made great progress. But a lot of unfinished business lies
before us. Our economy's growing at unprecedented rates and
we should be confident enough to achieve the growth targets
which we have set for ourselves.
However
these benefits of the upsurge in the economy have not
reached all the sections of the society. What I want to say
here is that we cannot look at the future without first
addressing the needs of the underprivileged and weaker
sections of the society with special attention being made to
the empowerment of the scheduled castes and the scheduled
tribes. We should ensure that they too find a place in the
sunshine of country’s growth and development. Our efforts
and commitment towards achieving this goal won’t be complete
until all the people of the country benefit from it. As
Gandhiji said our pledge won't be fulfilled until we are
able to wipe the tears from everyone's eyes.
Corruption is another evil that's eating up our system. We
all should remember that every rupee which goes out of our
system due to corruption is a rupee less for the development
of our country and we cannot afford to lose the resources
which are meant for our development. So we must strengthen
the measures for removing corruption & provide more
transparency in our system.
The
future of our country is also impacted by the advances in
science and technology and therefore we must encourage the
students to pursue basic sciences. As we all know that
education is the most important tool for empowering the
people of our country and that is why since independence we
have sought to build a huge infrastructure in education. As
we are working towards the goal of achieving nationwide
primary education, we must also encourage the students to
enrol themselves in higher and technical education. I firmly
believe that the light of modern education should touch
every citizen of our country. In the end I would like to sum
up by saying that my action will speak louder than my words
and as the saying goes i will further prove it by taking
India with a strive.
