GOSSIP MONGER |
The holi is long gone and the classes are in full swing but am still not able to get over that holi hangover I kept wondering during my classes the reason for this and finally came to the conclusion that is not the bhang I had but some of the news items I have been hearing lately has given me this high.so I decided to pen down some of these items and give you all a high too
The first one is to do with our own liquor mogul of the world Mr. Vijay Malaya, who with his takeover of Shaw Wallace has given us a high and is all set to take us onto the next plane by launching kingfisher airlines into the Indian airlines. According to the CEO the airlines is set to give trains, buses and TELEVISION a run for their money. Trains and buses I can understand but how is he going to give competition to television is still out of my understanding. May be if the launch of kingfisher airlines is half as titillating as the launch of kingfisher calendar it would surely give EVERYONE and ANYTHING a run for their money
Another major rumor that has given me a high is that of a possible settlement between the warring Reliance siblings, Anil and Mukesh, the most surprising element according to the rumor mongers (or shall I say the` reliable sources) is that Reliance Infocomm the child of Mukesh is going Anil's way how did that happen is again skipping my intellect, may be it is the magic wand of Mr. Kamath working. I hope that Mr. Kamath is able to pacify both the parties and bring to an end the dirty linen washing which has left all high and dry.
Another charming news bit that I came across is that Mr. Vijay Path Singhania Chairman emeritus of Raymonds Group is getting all heated up, now don't get me wrong what I meant to convey is that the man is aiming to become the first person in the world to fire hot air balloon to a height of 70000 feet. High cheers for the great aviator and his adventures spirit.
With this I hope that this column has been able to raise your spirits to new levels but if it has left a bad taste in your mouth am ready for the bricks and the bats.
