End –Sem Examinations
The mid night burning of oil, sleepless nights, bewildered faces; time for end of the semester examinations!
The end semester examinations of the institute were held between the 27th of April and 9th of May. The results of the exams were declared in the first week of June.
Summer Training
The students of MBA (IT) 2nd semester leave for their Summer Trainings at various esteemed companies for a duration of two months (15 May to 15th July) soon after completing their exams. No time for rest, dude!
The IIIT-A, MBA(IT) guys did their summers at companies like Tata Motors, Hewlett Packard, HSBC, DLF Lang O’ Rourke, Patni Computers, Wipro Technologies, Deloitte, Reliance Retail, Tata Consultancy Services etc. ; PSU’s like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, IOCL etc. in various domains proving their excellence in almost all and learning a lot through their hard work, devotion and enthusiasm. Many are expected to receive PPO’s from their companies as well.
New Academic Session Begins
The new academic session begins at IIIT-A from 17th July, 2007. A lot of new faces visible throughout the campus! The summer trainees return from their respective companies with lots of experience. The new batches of MBA, BTech, MTech, full of enthusiastic young minds, the to-be leaders, arrive in the campus.
Foundation Day
The foundation day of IIIT-A is to be celebrated on 12th of August 2007. Scholarships would be distributed to the toppers of various semesters. Various sports and cultural events would also be organized on the occasion. Some of the events already being announced are:
Ø Group dance competition to be organized by the Dance Club “Ushma”
Ø Singing competition to be organized by the Music Club “Virtuosi”
Ø Badminton tournament “Racquet of Honour ” to be organized by the Sports Club “Spirit”
Effervescence-MMVII
The preparations for “Effervescence-MMVII”, IIIT-A’s technical-cum-cultural-cum-management fest have started gearing up. The teams for organizing various events have been formed and the promotional video has been released on You Tube:
